3 Walters Way - Honor Oak Park, London, UK

Side and rear extension on a tricky site for a self-builder family, including low-energy building fabric overhaul.
c. £60,000 construction budget / with Jon Broome Architects and MAP Architecture.

This project involves extending an original 'Segal-method' self-built house constructed in the 1980s in order to provide ground-floor guest accommodation and a separate space for home-working, as well as overhauling the external envelope to improve thermal insulation and airtightness.

The construction work will be carried out by the family themselves along with their friends and neighbours and is expected to start on site in early 2018.
