Brindleshaw Barn - Meopham, Kent, UK

c. 180m2 very low-energy replacement dwelling for a self-builder in the green belt.
c. £600,000 construction budget / with Jon Broome Architects.


This project involved the reconstruction of a former barn building in the village of Meopham in Kent to create a 3-bedroom, Passivhaus-standard dwelling with a guest wing set around a south-facing courtyard.

The project has been self-built by the owner and utilises a CNC-cut timber-frame superstructure - and is is due to complete in early 2018.
